Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 10, 2026

Uncloud: Quit Vaping ("Uncloud", "the App", "we", "our", or "us") is designed to help you quit vaping. We built this app with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data the App handles, how it is stored, when it leaves your device, and which third parties receive it.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

Uncloud does not require an account and we do not collect or sell traditional personal profile data such as:

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, data brokers, or tracking technologies.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

Core app data you enter into Uncloud -- including vaping and puff logs, quit dates, goals, journal entries, achievements, and progress -- is stored locally on your device by default.

The App includes a home screen widget built with WidgetKit. To display your progress on the widget, data is shared between the App and the widget using Apple's App Groups feature. This sharing happens entirely on your device and does not involve any network transmission.

Some optional features require limited third-party transmission, as described below in Sections 3 and 4.

3. Subscriptions and Payment Processing

Uncloud offers optional in-app subscriptions. Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat, a third-party service that communicates with the Apple App Store to manage purchase state.

When you subscribe, Apple processes your payment. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription status information from Apple so the App can unlock paid features and restore purchases. We do not have access to your credit card number, billing address, or Apple ID. For details on how RevenueCat handles data, please refer to their Privacy Policy.

4. AI Coach Feature & Third-Party AI Service

Uncloud includes an optional AI Coach feature that provides personalized quit-coaching responses. This feature is entirely opt-in: when you first open the AI Coach, a dedicated consent screen explains exactly what data will be shared and with whom. No AI Coach data is sent until you explicitly tap the in-app consent button to allow data sharing.

4a. What Data Is Sent

When you use the AI Coach, the following usage context is sent to generate a coaching response:

No direct personal identifiers (name, email, device ID, location, or Apple ID) are sent to these services.

4b. How This Data Is Collected

All of the above data is either entered by you directly (motivation, vaping type, conversation messages) or derived from your usage logs stored on your device (streak, puff count, money saved, trigger patterns). This data is assembled only when you actively send a message in the AI Coach. It is not collected in the background and it is not transmitted at any other time.

4c. Who Receives Your Data

Your data is sent to OpenRouter (an API routing service), which forwards it to DeepSeek (an AI model provider) to generate coaching responses. The data is used only to generate and return your requested coaching reply. Uncloud does not use this data for advertising, profiling, or data sale.

4d. Third-Party Data Protection

We require the third-party services used by AI Coach to handle this data under their published privacy terms and security safeguards, and we only enable the feature after explicit user opt-in. We selected OpenRouter and DeepSeek because their published privacy materials describe protections for transmitted data that are intended to provide the same or an equal level of protection for this limited coaching context. For full details, see the OpenRouter Privacy Policy and DeepSeek Privacy Policy.

4e. Consent and Revocation

The AI Coach will not function unless you explicitly consent to data sharing via the in-app consent screen. By granting consent, you authorize Uncloud to send the data listed above each time you choose to send a message to the AI Coach. You may revoke your consent at any time in the app's Settings, which immediately stops any new data transmission to the AI service.

Your AI Coach conversation history is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us.

5. Other Third-Party SDKs

The only third-party SDK integrated into Uncloud is RevenueCat, used solely for subscription management. We do not use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking SDKs.

6. Children's Privacy

Uncloud is not directed at children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us so we can address the concern.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
