Dolpopa: Empty of Other
An eight-chapter guided course on Dolpopa Sherab Gyaltsen (1292-1361), the master from Dolpo who taught emptiness of other: the Sakya education and the title Omniscient, the retreat where the zhentong view arose, the great stupa of Jonang and the first public teaching at the raising of the central poles, the Uttaratantra's charter verses, Dolpopa's own Seizing the Crucial Point of Every Utterly Perfect Discourse, the lineage before him (Yumo Mikyö Dorje, Tsen Kawoche), the Kālacakra described but not taught, the soul objection and Tāranātha's answers, the 1650 ban and the Amdo survival, the Rimé reopening, and the Third Karmapa's treatise with its later zhentong label flagged. An independent critical listening course: every doctrinal claim is labeled to its source, with Dolpopa's own words, the Indian texts he used, precursor and reception voices, and modern scholarship kept on separate shelves throughout. Realization and vision claims are reported as the tradition's own claims, never asserted as fact; there are no practice instructions anywhere in this course. Quotations are short and attributed; copyrights in the translations remain with their translators and publishers, and this release grants no rights in those texts. Narrated by Tara, an AI voice. Original narration and commentary CC0 1.0 Universal.
